Are ULTA's free gift cosmetics safe?

I recently received two of ULTA's ';Debutante'; gift sets for purchasing $17.50 worth of ULTA-brand cosmetics on two separate occasions (a pretty little clutch full of free cosmetics - lipsticks, nail polishes, lip gloss, an eyeshadow palette, blush, etc.). When I got home and looked at the free cosmetics I received, however, I couldn't help but notice that they were all made in China. I then compared them to the ULTA-brand cosmetics I had actually paid for, which were all made in the U.S.A.

I assume that ULTA is so generous with giving away the Chinese cosmetics, because they are a lot cheaper to produce than the American-made cosmetics available to consumers for purchase. My worry is, are these Chinese cosmetics safe?

I really question if my now not-so-wonderful free gift is really worth using. There have been a few articles out recently about lead in Chinese lipsticks and that sort of thing. Quite honestly, I feel a little cheated. I'd hate to throw the free cosmetics away, especially because I do feel like I bought more than I had really wanted or needed to buy, just to reach that magical $17.50. I wouldn't have done that had I realized that I was getting the cheap stuff, and not the nice ULTA cosmetics I thought I was getting.

In the future, I am going to skip the gift sets and just pick up what I need. In the meanwhile, does anyone have any insight on this? I looked for answers online and found nothing about ULTA cosmetics made in China. Are ULTA's free gift cosmetics safe?
I don't know that anything made is China is safe anymore.Sadly to say.Are ULTA's free gift cosmetics safe?
You need to stop second-guessing these types of things. Just because something is made in China does not mean it is poor quality or it is fake. People just assume it is.
I've used them and I was fine.

  • 4 weeks pregnant, use of cosmetics safe?

I am 4 weeks pregnant and I want to know if most of the cosmetics and skin care products out there are save for expecting mums?

I am using clinic moisturisers (now avoiding the toner as I am not sure if it is save for the developing baby). I also use MAC compact press powders and concealers...I hope these are save.

The only thing I know to avoid is things like Clearasil as this have salic acid or something like that in there.

does anyone know of anything else that I need to avoid?

Thank you!!!4 weeks pregnant, use of cosmetics safe?
with very few exceptions, cosmetics are safe.

Salycilic acid is one of those exception (you already know that), also avoid prescription acne medications.

There are a few skin products out there now with caffeine in them (mostly under eye concealers as the caffeine reduces puffiness), the caffeine can enter your bloodstream this way, BUT you would have to use a ton for it to make any difference.

There is actually a study being conducted at the moment about whether excessive use of lavender containing products (like lotions) can effect estrogen levels in a developing fetus (lavender can increase estrogen production at high concentration, but it's unlikely that everyday use of lotions would have any effect) but if you wanted to be extra crazy super careful, you can avoid that too.

    EDIT:

    I just wanted to add a little comment about what one answerer said regarding ';it's not what we put on our bodies, but what we put into it that we have to worry about';

While, in regards to cosmetics this is pretty much true, certain things we put on our skin are in fact absorbed into our bloodstreams, which is why even certain very potent medications can be applied topically and have a systemic (whole body) effect. Caffeine is one such example and there are several others.4 weeks pregnant, use of cosmetics safe?
You are correct on the salic acid, but the other big one to avoid is anything has added chemicals or vitamins that promises to 鈥榬educe the signs of aging鈥? These contain high concentrations of Vitamin A which causes birth defects. Also any 'all natural' products that have some herbs in them. The FDA actually warns pregnant moms not to take any herbal products (this includes makeup) without first talking to their doctor or midwife. I would just avoid them in general as why risk it? St. Johns Wart for example has been seen in some tests to cause genetic damage to the baby this especially true the earlier in the pregnancy you are. I hope that this helps and kudos for being so careful! Most are not.
To answer this, I ask you to think of how many pregnant women you've known. How many of them wore make-up and used lotions? The answer, all of them most likely.

Using cosmetics is fine, as long as you aren't eating them. It's not what we do to the outside of our bodies, but what we ladies put into them while carrying the babies that we have to worry about.
There isnt any makeup I have heard of that you cannot use while pregnant except anything with salicylic acid, which is any most acne cleansers. If you are unsure about anything bring it to your doctor and ask them.
im pretty sure all cosmetics are safe... i wear makeup almost every minute of every day and also throughout my entire pregnancy and you bet i was made up during delivery and my baby is healthy haha
over the counter cosmetics are safe to use. if there is medication in them, little to none gets absorbed into your own bloodstream.
The only thing that you are not allowed to use in the first trimester is acne cream or pills. It should be okay to use makeup. Good luck and congrats!
I use all of my beauty regime just the same as I did before I was pregnant. All of my children came out just fine.
all makeup is safe all face washes are safe all of it is safe... congrats

    Is cosmetics safe?

    Hi There,

I'm asking this on behalf of my wife.

As you know Cosmetics are actually somekind of a Drug.

Is it really safe? All of these ingredients...

Waiting for your answer. Is cosmetics safe?
    Oh Hi,

You're right while cosmetics are defined in the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act as:

    (1) articles intended to be rubbed, poured, sprinkled, or sprayed on, introduced into, or otherwise applied to the human body or any part thereof for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance, and

    (2) articles intended for use as a component of any such articles; except that such term shall not include soap.

In the United States, cosmetics are being used by teens at a younger and younger age, and cosmetic safety has become quite an issue. Cosmetics can become contaminated with bacteria that the brush or applicator sponge picks up from the skin. Wearing cosmetics to bed, sharing cosmetics, scratching yourself with a mascara wand, and aerosol fumes are the top dangers of cosmetic use.

The most irritating ingredients in cosmetics are talc, dye, fragrance and preservatives. It is unfortunate that the preservatives which prevent bacterial build-up are also very bad for your skin.

It is not surprising, therefore, that there is an increased interest in natural and organic cosmetics. The two main categories of safer cosmetics are mineral cosmetics and hypoallergenic cosmetics.

Mineral cosmetics are quickly coming out of dermatologist clinics and high-end spas to retailer near you. Certified organic products and non-toxic makeup are becoming more mainstream as they demonstrate that they are as effective as those of the leading cosmetic companies. Women who use mineral cosmetics are said to experience fewer break-outs, as they are not affected by chemical preservatives.

Hypoallergenic cosmetics are products that makers claim cause fewer allergic reactions than other products. They are a greathelp to those with sensitive skin. Hypoallergenic cosmetics contain a minimum of allergenic ingredients, such as perfumes and preservatives, which will cause skin irritation and other allergic reactions.

    Regards,

    Jane

it really depends on the product. if you really are worried about it, there are many organic brands out there that are made from all natural ingredients that she could use. but honestly, there are women who've worn makeup every day their whole life pretty much and never had any problems, so i really wouldnt worry too much. people wouldnt wear it if it wasnt safe
yes there safe. if you are overly concerned about it though you can always go with the mineral brands. for the most part they dont add any of that extra ingredients that some people think are harmful.

unfortunatly they test the products on mice to make sure that they are safe because mice and humans have similar DNA make ups. so yes they are safe, but they have to kill animals to find out.

Is paraffin wax safe to put in cosmetics or lip gloss?

No - it's not good for cosmetics. It clogs the pores and doesn't allow the skin to breathe. Petroleum based products are the same. I wouldn't recommend it.Is paraffin wax safe to put in cosmetics or lip gloss?
Absolutely. Paraffin is also put in certain candies.

    Are cosmetics safe to use?

well am doing a case study in science about make-up and if its safe. anyone had any problems with make up or know any dangers (mainy eye + lip products)

    thank you.

    greatly appreciated

    :)))Are cosmetics safe to use?
some of them are safe others notAre cosmetics safe to use?
For the most part yes Make-up is safe. Now you are supposed to change your make up about every 3 months or any time you are really sick and you have been using your eye and lip products. This is for sanitary reasons. The longer you keep your make-up the longer germs have time to sit. One time I used some old eye liner and I got a really bad eye infection in both eyes! It was horrible. My eyes were blood shot red and I had to go to the doctor and get eye drops and all for using old eye liner. But otherwise there are no dangers in using eye or lip or any other kind of make-up! :) hope this helps.
make up is healthy if you use right and qualified materials. first you should select the products which don't irritate your skin, esp. eyes! the second one is the quality of make up products. you should be sure that they are tested dermatologically. many includes lead, can you imagine lipsticks including lead??? they may cause fatal problems. so women should buy -generally- expensive make up materials (because they are healtier) instead of having ten cheap-bad lipsticks, buy just two but safer ones

What can and can't carry on Airline trips? Like medicine, cosmetics etc. And how do I carry them safe?

What can I carry and can't carry on Airline trips?

    Like medicines, cosmetics etc.?

And how do I pack them so they will not be lost?

How many carry ons am I allowed luggage and size?

I really feel funny asking these questions! But have no idea!

Please help !What can and can't carry on Airline trips? Like medicine, cosmetics etc. And how do I carry them safe?
How heavy ur luggage is depends on what kinda seat ur on? Business, 1st class %26amp; economy differs.it also differs from Airline to Airline companies but i tink most is around 20kgs.

You are not allowed to carry ANY liquid into ur hand luggage n that includes nail polish.perfumes etc.Medicines are ok as long as not in liquid form.U can only carry 1 hand carry that doesnt exceed the weight of 5kgs.That is for International flights.Am not too sure if it applies if ure flyin within US itself. Most shops that sells travel bags have the specific measurements that u can refer to. U cant make sure things cant get lost but u can always lock ur bags wid a small safely lock n make sure u keep the keys safe n also tag ur bag wid ur name %26amp; address. If ure packin certain liquid things such as lotions, shampoo etc best u use a ziplock bag coz sometimes the change of pressure might make ure bottle leak a lil n u wudnt want that to be all over ur things. You can also check the airline ure flyin with thru their website regarding the weight n such. Good Luck! What can and can't carry on Airline trips? Like medicine, cosmetics etc. And how do I carry them safe?
Here's the US Transportation Security Administration's website with their list of permitted and prohibited items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/p鈥?/a> If you're traveling into or out of the UK and Europe, the restrictions are slightly different.... metric for one thing, and 100ml bottles (3.4 oz instead of 3 oz in a one liter bag 20 cm x 20 cm (8'; x 8';) instead of one quart 8'; x 7.75';).

If you're traveling in the US, I'd go with the smaller size bottles just to be safe, but the metric size plastic bag should be OK. Check the British Airways website: http://baa.com/

I need dental work done, but cannot afford the prices here in the USA. Are there any reputable countries that do good work?Where can Americans go for good, cheap, safe, cosmetic dentistry?
Most other countries do not steralize there equipment. And the words cheap and cosmetic dentistry scare me, just remember you get what you pay for. I know there are alot of areas that may have some type of clinic for the uninsured. Your best bet is to try to find something like that, or even a Dental College, sometimes they will do work at a reduced rate, for their schooling. you are better off getting a discount plan instead of going to a different country i use one and it saved me at least $3000 at my dentist. if you if you would like to check it out go to www.betterbenefits.info
Your best bet is to consult your local dental school and see what they have to offer. If that is not an option, there is always ';dental tourism';. Lots of people end up spending more to fix shoddy work done in other places when they get back. It is possible that after extensive dental work, you might need some tweaking every now and then. Will you be willing to fly out every time a veneer pops out or if you need a root canal?
If you decide to go... This here will cover some of the expense. It will also give you great cosmetic surgeons in the area.

I've been useing cheap make-up, for years, and I'm still around..so it cant be too unhealthy for you! However, they do say, that alot of them are made from animal parts.. And old make-up, according to the Tyra Banks, show, there's lots of little microscopic, creatures that live on our ';Old make-up';... it was really gross, to see all these different live germs, that live on our old make-up! And I dont care how much you paid for it!! Tyra even showed her old make-up, and the life micro germs were even on hers, so she gave everyone, new make-up!! I dont think it matters if you where cheap or expensive, so long as you wash it off, you should be okay, for many years to come!!! Good-Luck, to you! And as far as the fruits %26amp; vegeez, go, I used to be a vegetarian, but with fish.. And you want to talk about energy!! Whoah!!! I had the most energy, in my whole entire life, as when I was a vegetarian.... Steamed squash, Yummo!! I love all the squashes!! And whole honey wheat bran muffins w/ a banana in the morning's before your coffee, or tea.. And give it about 1/2 hour to digest, and you will be like wanting to do laps!! Thats how much, that banana, gives you a boost, or two!! Only on a empty stomache, first thing you do, before you start your morning, eat that banana, you will see a ';New-You'; evolve, with this kind of diet!! Trust me,, on this one!! So, hooray for you, wanting to eat ';Smart!!!'; Smile!!!Is it is safe to use variety of cosmetics?
They can do, it depends what's in them. The heart of good skin is a good basic regime, That each day you properly cleanse, moisturize and tone. A good diet, mixed diet is helpful - you do not have to be silly, by all means enjoy a blow out, but balance this with regular fresh fruit and vedg. Water - plenty of - not too much as that will just make you pee. Remember that with non-natural face products - cosmetics or skin care - you may be using ';safe'; products but are they still ';safe'; when all mixed up? There are some articles and other stuff about this at:.

There are so many great deals on e-bay, including cosmetics. I've seen some pretty good prices on almost every moisturizer imaginable, but I'm wondering if it's safe to order this way. I imagine this massive scam going on in which people refill the containers of these cosmetics with similar looking creams that they've created in their kitchen. I love elf products, but they're made in China. I knew this when I purchased them and figured that it would be okay. But now I'm hearing that there's lead in a lot of popular lipsticks, etc. In the past twenty minutes, they announced THREE new toy recalls because they contained lead.

never heard that before...but i wouldnt worry...well i use elf and my skin hasnt even broken out yet so ..

I also bought a lot of the E.L.F. products, and needless to say, I'm not a little worried. I've only been using the eyeshadow and the lip gloss, and nothing's happened yet.

    Would I still be ok?
I wouldn't use anything made in China! Just today I heard of a child dying by putting a charm in his mouth that came off of his tennis shoes, he didn't choke, he died from lead poisoning, the charm was tested and was almost 100% lead. The charm was made in China.

  • Non-metal fillings ';purely cosmetic';?

my dentist says I need fillings, which is fine with me as long as I get my happy drugs.

the thing that worries me though is my dentist isnsits that only amalgam fillings are covered by my insurance because she says other kinds of fillings are ';purely cosmetic';.

now I dont care about the mercury, the reason that worries me is that I have a bad metal alergy, and when I say bad I mean I had a 5inch weeping sore on my stomach and rashes up my arms and legs before we found the cause was a tiny area of contact from my jeans button, the doctor told me it took him a while to work it out because he'd never seen a case as bad as mine

and I've tried 22kt gold and ';hypo alergenic'; metals, they all cause a reaction, so I find it hard to belive that metal fillings would be suitable in my case, and I've told the dentist about my alergy but I'm not convinced she belives me.

surely I cant be the only person with a metal alergy whos needed fillings?Non-metal fillings ';purely cosmetic';?
I have an allergy to metal as well. Mine is not as severe as yours seems to be though. My jeans button breaks me out but only in the immediate contact area. I also cannot wear hypo-allergenic jewellry. I can wear real gold but that's it. I have metal fillings and have no problem, they do not come into contact with any skin. I would like to tell you my experience with the other kind of fillings though, the white kind you can't really see. That's the only kind my dentist likes to use. When she gave me those my tooth never quit hurting. They drilled it back out and used metal to refill it. I will not use anything but a metal filling from now on. The dentist told me that some people can't tolerate the other kind. ??? Good luck.Non-metal fillings ';purely cosmetic';?
If your physician is willing to put into writing that you have a severe metal allergy and that he is concerned that the metal fillings might cause a problem, you can write to the insurance company and ask for a case specific review. They will consider your physician's opinion as well as your dentist's. It's not easy to work your way through the insurance system, but it can be done, and sometimes they will make exceptions on a case by case basis. Good luck
Some dentist feel the need to only do amalgams, a tried and tested filling. They last for a long time, many for twenty years or more, and many dentists still do what they know. The advantages of amalgams: cheaper, they can usually be placed faster, and insurance covers a good portion of them. Now in the composite corner (white tooth fillings) they actually are introduced to the tooth as a liquid, thus allowing the material to flow into the nooks and crannies of your tooth prep. It only hardens after they use the blue light to bond or harden the material. Many dentists say that this is the way to go for structural strength of the tooth. As amalgam has to be packed into the tooth, thus causing the tooth to expand to hold the filling. With the big amalgam fillings after many years you sometimes see the tooth start to break away from the filling due to the hardness and packing of the amalgam. With composite resin restorations the theory is since the material can flow into all of those small spaces instead of having to be forcefully packed, it will make the tooth stronger in the long run. And less expansion takes place. From my own personal experience, I have had both types. The tooth colored fillings look better in your mouth. However I have amalgams from when I was a teenager (I'm 34 now) that are still hanging in there. Thirty years for a filling is a good thing. I really don't know much about metal allergies when it comes to fillings. I guess you will have to do some research before you make a design. Good luck. Either way I think both types of fillings can be good.

Purely Cosmetic, they lost 100 games last year....wouldn't you want to change it up after that.
    Money and sales pure greed
    .They're superstitious.
They couldnt find any more XXXL jerseys in the old style for Randy Johnson's giant *** to fit in again so they had to make new ones.
They probably just wanted to change the look and coors. It's a fresh start for them. They felt the need to upgrade their image. That would be my guess.
They are hoping to forget everything about last year. Next year Tampa Bay changes their colors and team name.
Don't know? I hear the Pirates changed theirs too.

Why is the invention of cosmetic not purely scientific?

Cosmetics have been around far longer than science. The ancient Egyptians were big users of cosmetics and perfumes and that was a long time before there was any scientific method. But they worked things out by trial and error over hundreds of years. Trial and error isn't science, it's close to it but not close enough.

Breast implants. Is this a necessary surgery or purely for cosmetic reasons?

(Excluding medically necessary surgeries of course)

Just a random question, thanks for answering.Breast implants. Is this a necessary surgery or purely for cosmetic reasons?
its necessary for titi fcuks.Breast implants. Is this a necessary surgery or purely for cosmetic reasons?
i hate those things and most women that have them (espeically the blonde bimbos). the only fake breast I'd say are okay is for a women who had had breast cancer. apart from that i think they are unsightly and uncalled for.
    It's cosmetic.

My Wife is 5'-2'; and has a set of 32Cs.

She doesn't need implants for Boob Humping.

Don't worry Stellar, someday you will reach puberty and grow a rack!

    LOL!
    Cosmetic.

Whoever said tittyfucks...girls who give tittyfucks with fake boobs get this disgusting imprint of a dick on their chests.
i say completely cosmetic, but ofcoarse i would do it if i were unfortunate enough to get breast cancer.
How can it be considered necessary....??
    for cosmetic reasons only
Purely cosmetic. You do not need breasts to survive.
    it depends on the situation.
its necessary cause there men r checking out the girls with the implants
    coosmetic idiots
    Stellar has a point...
    yup stellar has a point
ya so far stellar still has the best point

Would you ever consider implanting something purely cosmetic for your dog?

Like fake testicles if they were neutered (like the question here yesterday), or a fake eye if they lost an eye?Would you ever consider implanting something purely cosmetic for your dog?
    Nope

My dog doesn't care what he looks like. My dog doesn't care what I look like! So why would I do something invasive purely for cosmetic reasons??Would you ever consider implanting something purely cosmetic for your dog?
I would consider and did consider a false eye for a puppy that had a serious injury and lost an eye - being young he would have needed the support to the surrounding structures but it wasn't really purely cosmetic - he had more extensive injuries that ended up leading to him having to be put down but had he progressed, I would have gotten him a false eye. I see no reason for anyone to get the false testicles, that would be ego based and silly.
Neuticals or a fake eye, no. The first is just ridiculous, the second is unnecessary. If a dog needs to lose an eye due to disease %26amp; gets an eye implant, it is for the owner's benefit and not the dog's.

There have been some recent developments in leg prosthesis for dogs (don't know about cats) If it meant my dog had better mobility --should she lose a leg for some reason---and would have no pain or complications, I'd consider that. If the implant or device had a function that would absolutely benefit the dog, then I would look into it.
    No! never!

A prosthetic leg perhaps, but that would be for mobility rather than cosmetic.

People who show dogs that are neutered and have fake testicles are basically cheating, as male or female the dogs are supposed to be breed-able. A pet dog certainly doesn't need them. It doesn't make them look any better and they don't care what they look like. The owner shouldn't either!

I can understand someone having a prosthetic eye fitted to make a dog look more normal though I think even that is unnecessary.

    Absolutely not.

Things like that are not beneficial to the dog, only for the outer look of the dog to better please the owner.

I say no on all doggy-cosmetics. Its ridiculous. Why spend THAT much money on something that doesn't help your dog and may cause problems later on down the line?

Unless its beneficial to the DOG, it serves no point.

I don't understand the point of neuticals. Testicles on dogs are disgusting and look improper. Why would you want to make your animal uncomfortable? There is no way they feel anything like the real thing for them, and I would imagine they are extremely irritating. I wouldn't want two easter egg shaped things floating around next to my butt!
Well, the Neuticles was 100% REDICULOUS!

I even heard of a Man who adopted a AmStaff and had him inplanted with larger then ';real'; Neuticles.

Ugh, what small braines some people have.

I dont think I would get a Cosmetic Eye for a dog either.

Although, I could see why some people would.

    BUT REALLY!

The neuticles were so freakishly STUPID!
No, I'm sorry but I think it's totally unnecessary. However, if it makes the ';manly men'; more comfortable to see testicles on their neutered dogs well go for it idiots. At least their neutering and not leaving their dogs ';manhood'; intact.
Wow...reading some of these answers. I do agree with whoever said about a leg.

If it made my dog(s) more comfortable...and money wasn't an issue then I would do it.

But the testicles? Wth? Im not showing off my dogs. They aren't a prize or a status symbol. If ur dog is nutered (most) people wouldn't care if someones dog was nutered and didn't have any testicles...I honestly would be glad to see a lack of testicles in most dogs

But like I said I agree with some people. If it made them more comfortable I would do it

ADD: about the showing thing...that would be the only way I would support the implants
I've thought about dental implants for them, but it would be for my benefit and I just couldn't put them through that. They get along just fine with some missing teeth.

Never would I do an eye or testicles. I would consider an artificial limb, though.
No. And to clarify about the neuticles thing, unfortunately they are used to disguise monorchid dogs in the show ring. It's not always idiots with a macho complex. Though I'd rather see stupid people castrate and replace with implants than not castrate at all.
probably yes if that something would do good with my pup, and if he really needs it, why not..

but try to check the consequences of doing it.. consider the health of your doggie..

    http://dogtime.com/health.html
    Nope.

Dogs aren't self conscious that way, and I frankly don't care if my dog has 'nads or not... My sense of well being has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not my dog is intact.
Maybe an eye, thats not such a bad idea, but fake testicles are idiotic, and for guys that must feel pretty darn pathetic inside...
I wish I had done that for my male dog. I thought about it but everyone laughed at me for considering it. I can't see the harm.
I recently heard of those testicle implants from a friend. Her son had them done to his dog after he was neutered.
Oh god now people are going to be going crazy for fake testicles to put on their dog!

    I would never do that!
Uh, no, I would never put my dog thru any unneccesary pain.

No, they won't get use to stuff that is not their own.

    in a word, no

    wait that's four words

    wait that's even more words
    no
Nope.I'd better spend that money for good food, vets, toys, etc.

Would you ever consider plastic surgery for purely cosmetic reasons?

How old would you have to be and what would you change?Would you ever consider plastic surgery for purely cosmetic reasons?
I never have had any plastic surgery, but I am completely open-minded about it.

I am 36, so I think it's a decent age to get a minor face lift that takes about a decade off. I wouldn't do it if I were too old, like over 55, because, well, what 's the point? Then again, I look at Cher and she is over 60 and God bless her, the plastic surgeries she has had just make her look beautiful. Same thing with Sharon Osbourne. Gorgeous. Great jobs.

So, yes, I am pro-surgery. If I get any , I'll let you know. While we are at it, I might supersize my boobs from the B-cups that they are to a C+.

I really am not as vain as I might be coming across in this answer. My brain is my most favorite part of my body, and I have always prided myself in my education and intellectuality.

However, I have always been an athlete and like the idea of keeping the appearance up. The body is a dress that the soul wears, so I would never judge anyone who would tighten up the seams where needed.

You would fix your car, if it gets scratched, why wouldn't you do that for your face?

Hope this answers your question.Would you ever consider plastic surgery for purely cosmetic reasons?
    I would get a breast augmentation. I'm 23.
I would get it done and I do plan on it. a nose job.im still under 18 right now so i think i will have to wait for awhile
Never. I think it's ridiculous to go through a serious medical procedure just because you're unhappy with the way you look.
Yes, - I would consider a nose job and breast augmentation...to get it done you'd have to be 18.
Depends on what you mean by ';for purely cosmetic reasons.'; In general, I think too often people undergo surgery to ';correct'; things that make them distinctive and unique. I'd consider it to correct something like a burn scar.
this is a man speaking so please excuse me. i don't like nose jobs, because if you are that insecure about the way you look, then i just think its ridiculous. i also think that breast implants are pointless. if a guy is lusting after your bosoms, why would you pick him over someone that likes your intelligence/sense of humor?

i would say that the only way i would ever see plastic surgery as acceptable would be if:

    A) you have skin cancer and it destroyed a part of your skin

    B) i didnt have to see it

    C) you just lost a lot of weight rapidly and have a flap of skin between your chest adn thighs, and think it looks absolutely disgusting. the only reason i even wrote C is because most people thinks that looks disgusting. the decent guys (points thumb at chest) couldnt care less what size your nose is
Isn't most plastic surgery for purely cosmetic reasons?
    breast implants.

i'm under 18 though.. so i would wait until i'm like 23 -25 to know for sure my breast are a small size though.

  • Labiaplasty: Purely cosmetic or does it have medical benefit?

Does this procedure have any positive outcomes other than a woman feeling better about her vagina?Labiaplasty: Purely cosmetic or does it have medical benefit?
Yes, it makes women feel even more like commodity items that must be altered and detailed and mutilated beyond recognition to make them suitable for purchase by males.

So positive for patriarchy, anyway.Labiaplasty: Purely cosmetic or does it have medical benefit?
If you've ever seen some of the MILF pr0n with ladies that have their labia minora hanging out a good two inches, you can imagine that just wearing a tight pair of jeans could be pretty uncomfortable. Enlarged labia chafe and cause pain, callousing, and infection.

There are completely legitimate reasons for the labioplasty procedure. Maybe some feminists oughtn't be so quick to condemn other women for their personal choices.
I would say that's about it. Why else would a woman monkey around down there? I say love what you got. If they cant love it too then they aren't right for you.
No positive outcomes, and possible negative outcomes by severing nerves and making the area numb, or sex painful.

Does the tread on road bicycle (slick) tyres actually have a function or is it purely cosmetic?

I would just like to know if it has any function as I have heard that bikes can have completely smooth tyres in the wet any, answers much appreciated. Also if people in professional bike racing believe this to be true.Does the tread on road bicycle (slick) tyres actually have a function or is it purely cosmetic?
    jman4117 is correct

The tyre compound is more important than the tread, I use

Vredestein fortezza tricomp they are the best slicks I have tried in the wet so far. (even though I avoid riding my best bike in the rain)

Bikes do not go fast enough to hydroplane, the more rubber on tarmac, the better. Tread pattern gives a false sense of security.

    hope this helps mate.

.Does the tread on road bicycle (slick) tyres actually have a function or is it purely cosmetic?
yeah its made for a high rate of speed just like a car so you dont slide around the corner.....the peeps on the Tour De' France use these tires.....normal people cant go fast enough to get any real use out of it....It is also because those tires have less friction with the ground than the tire of....hmmm....a mt bike
Tread wicks away water like car tires in rain. I never use 'em since I rarely ride in rain.
I see that we don't have many bicycle racers here.

A slick tire has LESS rolling resistance, and BETTER traction in both wet and dry conditions. PERIOD.

    http://www.faqs.org/faqs/bicycles-faq/pa鈥?/a>

The tread is purely cosmetic. The type of rubber that a tire is made of, as well as the casing, and the tire pressure, all have a large impact on the tires handling characteristics.
I usually prefer slick tires at about 120 psi. Lately I've become addicted to Continental GP 4000's. They have minimal tread and I haven't noticed any difference in traction, but the tires seem to last longer, they are ultra light, and they perform better overall than Hutchinsons, Vittoria, Michelins (yuck), and any other tire I've tried.
    it's for grip around curves/rain
there is better grip on the road and there is less friction which means more speed
    They're just for show.
It's purely cosmetic. They have tread on them because people are afraid to use a slick tire. Bikes don't have wide, flat tires like cars and they go at a much slower speed. They can't hydroplane, so get a slick and put as much rubber on the road as possible.
Actually, because the tread is inverted on a road bike tire, its purpose is NOT to give traction the way a knobby tire does. In fact, the greater the surface area of a tire that's able to be in contact with the road surface, the more traction you have. Don't believe me? Try cornering hard on a road bike. Then take the same corner at the same speed on a mountain bike. On a smooth surface, the mountain bike is far more likely to skid out, because only the knobs are touching the road, not the whole tire.

This inverted tread's function is to shed water and dirt and to prevent hydroplaning on wet surfaces.
what little tread is on a road tire is, as stated above mearly to push water away from the contact surface lessening the instances of hydroplaning. obviously the smoother the tire the lest resistance it will create as it moves against the air. the ground however is a diferent story. some friction (resistance) is necesary or you would spin tire every time you accelerated. the softer compounds in the rubbers of ';slicks'; accomplish this by finding the balance point at which frictional resistance does not impeede speed.

    cheers

Does anyone know of cosmetic treatment for strech marks? The bathing suit season is comming!?

I'm not sure if it'll work by summer unfortunately, but I've gotten rid of mine by using the palmers vitamin e lotions, but that can take monthes. For more intense treatment try straight vitamin e on your skin, not the oil that is diluted also. I mean capsules break them open and let them sit on your skin several times a day. I used that treatment on some I had on my hips in high school and they went away in about 3 weeks. They also have merderma lotion to help with other scars.Does anyone know of cosmetic treatment for strech marks? The bathing suit season is comming!?
coco butter works wonders :) or you could think of your stretch marks as stripes like in the army the more you have the higher rank you are. me i would go for the coco butter ;)Does anyone know of cosmetic treatment for strech marks? The bathing suit season is comming!?
Vitamin E would have been helpful to put on topically, when you first got them. Also taking Vit C in realatively higher doses...about 2-3000 mg's/day. If they have been around for a while, see a dermatologist...they beable to do laser or topical drug treatment for them.
Unless you want a tummy tuck. Buy a one piece. Strech Marks are hard to get ride of.
Avon makes a stretch mark cream which fades the purplish-ness of stretch marks, but it doesn't make them completely disappear. It worked pretty quickly for me.
After 4 children, I decided to have a tummy tuck, not because of the stretch marks, but because I had a lot of lose skin. I couldn't be happier with the result. The belly button does not look quite 'real', so I wear a tankini instead of a full two piece - but that's a whole lot better than sitting by the side of the pool with my lap in my lap! If you just have stretch marks and not hanging skin to deal with, try a self tanner - a tan always makes everything look better. In the end, it's more important that you are having fun and enjoying life. When it's all over, your child won't care what you wore to the beach - they will care that you played with them, taught them to swim, and laughed--really laughed and enjoyed life. Go on - get out there and just be the best you can be with what you've got. Those stretch marks mean you brought a new life into this world and that is something to be very proud of.
    bathing suit season is coming?

Can you get cosmetic surgery to remove stretch marks apart from a tummy tuck?

I believed it can. But before you try that, why not give this new technique a try ?

    Microdermabrasion.

This technique employs specially formulated creams that are packed with the power of micro-crystals. These ultra-exfoliating creams are designed to take skin care to a new level, especially when combined with a re-surfacing wand. The re-surfacing wand gently buffs or massages your tissues and drives out dead skin cells, oil, and entrenched contaminants. A brand new skin surface is revealed, healthier and revitalized. The treatment is painless, and should feel like a deep tissue massage. Can you get cosmetic surgery to remove stretch marks apart from a tummy tuck?
yes laser,Can you get cosmetic surgery to remove stretch marks apart from a tummy tuck?
yes but you have to get it while they are still redish purple.
There are over the counter creams such as Stridex carried at Ulta 3 cosmetics, that work wonders for making strech marks dissapear. Also try palmers coco butter.

  • Cosmetic Brushes Marking ?

Why do people ';mark'; their cosmetic brushes?Cosmetic Brushes Marking ?
Sometimes makeup artists do it so that they don't get their brushes mixed up with anyone else's. MAC brushes are pretty popular and if you're working around a bunch of other makeup artists, it's easy to lose track of one and there goes like $20 down the drain. Marking them just makes it easier to be identified. Good luck!Cosmetic Brushes Marking ?
I've never seen anyone mark their brushes.

Sir, i want to know that is there any cosmetic surgery possible to remove the chicken pox marks and holes?

holes after scracting when i was suffering from chicken pox please send my query answer im just waiting for that....Sir, i want to know that is there any cosmetic surgery possible to remove the chicken pox marks and holes?
My brother had chicken pox scars all over his face. He used a lotion called Mederma. Now, you can barely see the scars. There's another product called ScarZone that I've heard helps, too.Sir, i want to know that is there any cosmetic surgery possible to remove the chicken pox marks and holes?
Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do to completely remove the scars. However, there are a couple techniques you can use to help hide the scarring and pitting. One method is to take Bengay, or a cream similar to this, and rub it on the affected area. The cream tightens the skin in the area, shrinking the pitting and making it less noticable. Another method is to apply a mixture of milk (about 8oz), a tablespoon of cinnamon, and a dab of honey and wash the scarred area. The minerals in the cinnamon interact with the fatty acids in the milk and the glycine in the honey to form a chemical that helps rejuvenate the skin and make it look healthy. This method takes time though, and you need to allow the mixture to dry onto your skin before washing it off. I hope this helps you out, both methods have been tried by close friends and co-workers of mine, and I have noticed a considerable difference. Just keep in mind that these do take some time, about 2-3 weeks to start noticing long term results.
I wish I could give you a formal answer but this question is addressed to sir, and I do not fit that role.

How can I get rid of stretch marks on my thighs and sides of stomach permentaly !!!!! w/out cosmetic surgery?

please this is sooooooooo GROSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need helpHow can I get rid of stretch marks on my thighs and sides of stomach permentaly !!!!! w/out cosmetic surgery?
There is a lot of stretch mark treatment available on the market these days. Some treatments are more effective in fading or even eliminating stretch marks, but the success of the treatment depends on a few different things. First of all is the color and age of the stretch marks. If they have faded to a flesh color they are much harder to heal. Second of all, ethnicity and heredity play a role in which creams, oils and other products or equipment will succeed in healing stretch marks.

The cheapest stretch mark treatment available is creams made especially for stretch marks. The most effective creams contain ingredients such as cocoa butter, lanolin and wheat germ oil. These creams actually heal and rebuild the damaged skin. While they may not be able to completely eliminate stretch marks, they may at least make the stretch marks fade to a barely visible scar. A good recommendation will be Palmer Cocoa Butter Cream.

Another popular %26amp; effective cream that you might wish to consider is Strivectin. It has a bioactive topical formula that has a combination of skin firming agents to reduce visible wrinkles and make skin appear firmer

If you are interested in more effective ways of getting rid of stretch marks, you can read abt them from this site: http://stretch-marks.my-fashion-house.co鈥?/a>How can I get rid of stretch marks on my thighs and sides of stomach permentaly !!!!! w/out cosmetic surgery?

    Mark. Cosmetics representative?

I'm seriously considering becoming a Mark. cosmetics rep. for 2 main reasons:

    1) To supplement my husband's income. I'm currently going back to school to become a nurse and staying home in the daytime with my 1 yr old daughter while he works. Money is a little tight, though we can afford the the things we need it is difficult to buy decent clothing and such items. I'm trying to find something that I can do from home that will help.

    2) I love Mark. products and the discount they offer to the reps will definitely help me out there.

I'm not really looking into selling the entire Avon line because I live in a small town (6,000 people, maybe less) and it seems like everyone here sells Avon! At least once a week I find a catalog from a new Avon rep hanging from my doorknob. Also, I've heard that with Avon, you have to order the products using your own money and then distribute the product to the consumer. If the consumer changes her mind, you're out the money. However, Mark. looks like it's mainly internet based. You get your own online store and your customers just buy the product online from there.

So, what I'm wanting to know is if it costs anything besides the $20 startup fee? Do I have to pay for the magalogs and bags? And, if I don't have many sales (or no sales for awhile) will they just shut off my account? Is it true that it's mainly internet based? Or do I have to order stuff using my own money like Avon?

I can't really afford to buy products meant for my customers and then wait until they get the products to get the money. That's why I like the internet based thing so much. That way, I can just advertise and post a website and not have to worry about so much face-to-face interaction.

Thanks for your answers!Mark. Cosmetics representative?
    ';Do I have to pay for the magalogs and bags? ';

YES. We get about 5 free mags with every order placed in 2008. Otherwise, the packs of 5 are around $1 each. Samples and bags range from $1-3.

    ';And, if I don't have many sales (or no sales for awhile) will they just shut off my account?';

They suggest to place an order every couple of months to avoid this from happening. But there are no minimums or anything.

    ';Is it true that it's mainly internet based? Or do I have to order stuff using my own money like Avon?';

You can promote your free e-boutique and mark. handles all of it. But, most sales are going to come from people you see day to day when you are wearing the products. But if you do have local customers, you have to collect cash or check from them deposit into your account and then place an order.

    ';I can't really afford to buy products meant for my customers and then wait until they get the products to get the money.';

mark (unlike Avon) recommends that you collect the money up front because we pay ';up front';. (Avon reps buy on credit.)

It really is a great deal for the $20 fee even if you are going to just buy for yourself and a few friends or family members - because you get the straight discount on everything you buy. But I will warn you that most of us reps say we don't make much money, because everything we get goes back into buying more products for ourselves because we like them so much! There come out with new products each month, so you really want to keep adding to your collection to show it off to others.

Let me know if you have any other questions.Mark. Cosmetics representative?
The start up fee for becoming an Avon representative is $10.00. When you become an Avon rep. you can also sell Mark just like you sell Avon. You can sell Avon and Mark the old fashioned way going door to door and/or you can sell Avon and Mark on the web, you would be considered an e-representative.

And no, you never have to buy any products before a customer orders it. You don't not have to keep an inventory.

I help my daughter-in-law with her Avon business and she never keeps Avon products in stock.

In your first Avon order you just order what your customers have ordered and you will need to order your catalogs. I order 100 at the cost of $19.95. I do believe a pack of 5 cost 7.50. You do not have to pay for the order until the next campaign order is submitted and that will be after you have delivered your orders to the customers and they have paid you. So you will have the money to pay for your order. If you do not order anything from Avon for three consecutive campaigns, they assume you have quit. But as long as you don't owe them any money you can be reinstated at any time.

I hope this helps. Good Luck!
Ok to help you out a little if you are a Avon Rep you automatically are enrolled with Mark and could start selling out of that book as well, and with Mark you could only sell out of the Mark book. With Mark you sell just like Avon you would hand out books and collect orders also you get to sell out of the internet as well. You will have to pay for the books and all the supplies as well. I sell Avon and I no if we don't place a order three times in a row then we are no longer consider a avon rep, so I don't no if that is the same with Mark. It's cheaper to enroll with Avon and then just sell mark instead of Avon. Order the mark books instead of Avon books. Remember once you sign up with mark you are not allowed to sell Avon.

  • Mark cosmetics question?

how long does it take to ship?

    and

if u go to a rep's page it shows her name in the corner and how do you exit out of that?

answer whichever question u know or both!Mark cosmetics question?
Their products usually ship same or next day (depending on how early in the day you order.) Everything ships from Ohio, so the farther away you are from there, the longer it will take to get to you. I am on the West Coast and I get my orders within a week.

Why did you want to exit the Rep's page? If you want to do that, you can just go to the general mark page which is www.meetmark.com.Mark cosmetics question?
    usually a few weeks

about the reps page i'd just click back to the first page you were at or just go to the makr/avon homepage.

3 months back I got stretch marks of my abs removed by cosmetic surgery,Will I have any problem in pregnency?

You shouldn't. Our skin is an organ, look it up and you will see that the skin is very pliable with a substance called elastin. this is meant to stretch. That's why it is able to stretch so much during a pregnancy. Surgery will not remove this elastin. It throughout your entire body of skin.3 months back I got stretch marks of my abs removed by cosmetic surgery,Will I have any problem in pregnency?

No, it will not have an effect on your pregnancy. However, it will have an effect on your skin.. I would recommend using ';Palmer's Body Butter'; it is great, my friend used it and she hasn't developed any stretch marks!

Most people Develop stretch marks during pregnancy but you can use cocoa butter or other stretch mark cream while pregnant to make them less visible.

there are lots of products on the market now that help stretch marks and scars to fade, go to your local chemist and and ask about one.
    lipstick..

lol , try wearing something to cover it . Its better that way .
I was told cocoa butter and also told it does no such thing. I believe it does even after my own doctor says ther are other factors that decide if you will get stretch marks. I used it religiously and TA DA, no stretch marks. We all agree that you use it at the first slight sign of a mark before the skin loses it's elasticity. Trust me use a cocoa butter bar or block with 100% cocoa butter, nothing else. Look in West or East Indian grocery shops. It works!
Bio Oil is a good product and is available in most pharmacies in Europe .

Without having cosmetic surgery, is there any way to reduce the appearance of old stretch marks?

moisurise lots and lots.....you can't get rid of them, but you can stop them from looking worse and by massaging lotion into them, you are keeping the blood flowing around them stopping and fatty deposits building up (and its the deposits that make stretchmarks more visible)Without having cosmetic surgery, is there any way to reduce the appearance of old stretch marks?

No, sweet-heart. Once they are there, they are there. Vitamine E oil can help minimize and heal a little - but not enough - however it will stop more coming.:)
You could try any of the following, but a combination probably will work best:

    1) Retin A Cream (Prescription Only)

    2) Copper Peptides (Neova, Skin Biology)

    3) L-Ascorbic Acid (Cellex-C)

    4) Alpha Hydroxy Acids (MD Formulations, Glytone, Mene %26amp; Moy)

    5) Carrier Oils suchs as Jojoba Oil and Sweet Almond Oil (Available through Aromatherpy retailers).

Stretch marks are our body's way of adapting to sudden change in weight. Sad to say, once you have it, you have it for life. The only difference is that through time, it seems diminished because it actually adapts the natural color of your skin. You can put whitening lotions to lighten it. There are a lot of lotions that claim that stretch marks vanished by using their lotions. It does not, it just lightens %26amp; follow your natural color, thus it's not obvious. Trust me. I've used a lot but none have stood to their claim. So stretch marks vanishing, impossible. Diminishing, uhmm, well, simply because it lightened up. Hang on, %26amp; be confident. There is no human being in this world, that does not have stretch marks (except babies perhaps). I don't even know if stretchmarks can be vanished through surgery. :)
I dont think so... I have the same problem. Oh well... Just something you have to live with I guess. I really dont think so though. I tried everything in the book.
just to remove old strech marks do not use any chemical shampoo,or soap, ortubeetc

Anyone ever have cosmetic surgery to get rid of stretch marks?

If so how effective was it %26amp; how much did it cost??Anyone ever have cosmetic surgery to get rid of stretch marks?
LOLO, Last summer my buddy got cosmetic surgery and the results look really good so far. In my state a there are certain plastic surgeons that are better than others. I'd consult plastic surgeons in your area and see before and after pictures. http://www.plasticcosmeticsurgerycenter.鈥?/a> They should be able to answer your questions.Anyone ever have cosmetic surgery to get rid of stretch marks?
One of the most effective surgeries for women with stretch marks on their stomach from a pregnancy is a tummy tuck. The tummy tuck gets rid of extra skin and fat, making the stomach tighter and nicely shaped. In the process of this skin removal, stretch marks below your belly button are usually removed as well.

Another option is laser surgery. This type of stretch marks surgery is generally only for people whose stretch marks are still colored red or brownish. If your stretch marks have faded to more of a flesh color the laser will not be able to detect them. This surgery is effectively able to remove damaged skin and stimulate collagen growth, but may not always completely eliminate stretch marks.

Laser surgery can also become incredibly expensive. Each session can cost as much as $1000 or more, and depending on how quickly your skin reacts to the surgery, you may need multiple sessions of laser surgery before your stretch marks fade or go away.

If you are interested in more effective ways of getting rid of stretch marks, you can read abt them from this site: http://stretch-marks.my-fashion-house.co鈥?/a>

umm I had a consultation for it but never went through with it. the reason I didnt was that they cant make them go away, the laser just lightens them which would happen with time or something like mederma anyways. the cost depends on how many treatments you need to have the size of the area being done. I think it was something like 200 a treatment and they said I'd need like 5 and that was on my love handles. I would set up a consultation to find out, theyre usually free.
    ask a doctor!! sheesh

Are roller marks on a new asphalt driveway just a cosmetic problem or a structural problem in the future?

the roller marks are from the roller use to compact the asphalt after spreading.

If you see marks then the job could have been compacted more with more passes with the roller.

Call the company up and tell they your problem.

It could be tire load mark while driving on the driveway which still is a compact problem.

laser and palmers cocoa butterIs there some type of cosmetic surgery i could get to remove my stretch marks?
no, im afraid there's no way to ';remove'; stretchmarks. stretchmarks are ';breaks'; in skin tissue deep within your skin. you can, however, make it appear less visible by matching the surrounding skin with the color of the stretchmarks.
I agree that Laser therapy could be helpful depending on your skin type and the colour of the stretchmarks. If you see a dermatologist that specialises in laser therapy they will advise you on the best course of treatment.

What is the open cylinder logo/marking at the back of cosmetic products?

Like in hand creams, where at the back, you have an open cylinder, with a number inside it, like ';12M';. What is this symbol for. Its usually found next to the quantity (like 50 ml). What is the open cylinder logo/marking at the back of cosmetic products?
i'd take a guess at, use within 12months of opening.

i say this because cosmetic products have proservatives and they don't tend to last very long, so once they go you are putting bad bacteria on to yourself. What is the open cylinder logo/marking at the back of cosmetic products?
its the best before date after the product has been opened.

This is because everytime it is opened bacteria gets into it and eventually this stops the product from doing what it says it does. It wont harm you to use products after this date but they just wont be as effective
Hi this tells you how may months it will stay fresh for, So as soon as you open it it will be ok to use for as many months as it says on the symbol with the pot open. A few years ago they didnt have best before dates on. But after a while you find the creams or whatever go a different colour or smell different this is because they have gone of.So they but these on so you know.
It is telling you the expiry date for example if it has a 12 in it. you ust use it within 12 months of opening.

Like the use by date on food really.

I would look into some laser or chemical peels versus make up or lotion as I am not sure that stuff works especially if you are going in the water. I think there are some treatments you can get done that may seems more expensive in the short run but in the long run, they may be worth it.

Is there a cosmetic surgery available for stretch marks?

I would just like to know if there is a cosmetic surgery for stretch marks. I have really bad ones on my hips and it does bother me. Its just a question and I would prefere if people did not pass judgment or offer moral guidance on the issue of plastic surgery. I am well aware of the arguments and it's not like I'm getting a whole body work up. Its just a question. Thanks! Is there a cosmetic surgery available for stretch marks?
you should research laser. similar to laser hair remover, scars or tattoos. make sure the doctor you see is experience and ask for referals. good luck.Is there a cosmetic surgery available for stretch marks?

Didn't Mark Harmon require cosmetic surgery on his face quite some time ago?

It was accident-related, back in the late 70's - early 80's. I'm thinking of this question now, after watching NCIS and appreciating his fine features. If memory serves, he was often spoken of as having the most perfect face in Hollywood. Does anybody else remember this? Please don't tell me I'm confusing him with Mark Hamill!Didn't Mark Harmon require cosmetic surgery on his face quite some time ago?
He played a plastic surgeon on St. Elsewhere, but I don't believe he's ever had plastic surgery himself. (And I think you are confusing him with Mark Hamill, who had plastic surgery because of a motorcycle accident back in the late 70s.)Didn't Mark Harmon require cosmetic surgery on his face quite some time ago?
    Yes your right here.

Mark Harmon(the hansom one!) his face is changed enormous and he looks a lot older, I think he's in very bad health.

I recommend very much the series Goliath awaits

Mark Hamill (he's from Star Wars)is totally someone else(and not so good looking lol).
Somuchwhatever's correct...Mark Harmon didn't have his face worked on for any reason. This rumor is often crossed with Mark Hamill's 1981 motorcycle accident between filming the original Star Wars movies.

  • What cosmetic procedure don't take long but make you look good? peels? laser? don't want marks for days.

Having just had a series of 3- 50% Glycolic Acid Peels, I would highly recommend them if you are going for less bumps, scars, and age/sun spots. The peel is on your face for 3-4 minutes the pain is minimal and the recovery is not bad- you are pink for 10-30 minutes and MIGHT have some minor skin peeling- ALL of my skin came off when my face was cleansed with the cleansing pillows that were used.

In addition to the peel, I received a light facial which was relaxing for a 30 minute total process. What cosmetic procedure don't take long but make you look good? peels? laser? don't want marks for days.
I am assuming that you are talking about your face? I know about many procedures, but I don't really know what the ';problem area'; is that you are wanting to correct. Microderm Abrasion works well and you look better within hoursWhat cosmetic procedure don't take long but make you look good? peels? laser? don't want marks for days.
Wash, cleanse, moisturise, and MAKE-UP! Why bother with peels, laser etc., unless you have a really bad skin problem. In which case, go to your g.p. and get his advice. Don't waste your time and money on treatments you probably don't need.

If you feel good inside, like yourself and are good company, what more do you want? If people don't like you for who and what you are, then change your circle of friends!
Microderm Abrasions and Peels make skin look better but work differently on the skin.

MDA is a physical exfoliant where as the Chemical Peel is chemical.

You can do them both at home now without the expense of the dermatoligist or a trip to the spa.

Dark circles are usually caused by lack of something.

Sleep? Water? Certain vitamins? Exercise? Stress?

Make sure you get at least 8 hrs sleep a night and in a pattern e.g. 11pm - 7am every day

Make sure you drink 8 glasses of water a day

Try to get a balanced diet or take Multi vitamin suppliments for 6 weeks and see if they fade

    Calm down/relax more

if not i know hugo boss r bringing some skin care range out n there r very gud
Somebody told me to soak your eyes in cucumbers? Someone also told me that Avon has a product to do the job?
    sunglasses
Loads of things on market, garnier do one.But to be honest what you need is regular exercise, lots of fruit and veg a good moisturiser and lots of sleep!
There are creams you can buy to help this,Fade away is one.It uses a very mild form of a bleaching agent.Of course there are loads of other creams on the market to disguise marks as well.
Yes drink plenty of water it helps.
why not try a Concealer around under your eyes.
drink plenty of water every day it works for me.
maybe a little concealer, also try to drink plenty of water this is supposed to help and make sure you are getting enough sleep
Try foundation then concealer, not just for women.
Don't waste your money, the best solution is tea bags. The tanin from the tea leaves helps to minimize the aperance of dark rings under your eyes. Puffy too? try slices of cucumber. Draw a warm bath put warm tea bags on (not hot) your eyes for a few minutes and then the cucumber for a couple, rotate them a couple times and voila! Spa perfect treatment for cheap cheap.
    YSL Touche Eclat

Thats the best concealer for dark circles but make sure it matches your skin tone!
yeah, I think its cover girl, they make a yellow and green cover stick, I can't remember which is which, but one takes care of dark under eye circles, and the other color takes care of red marks like from acne
Stay away from fighting, and you will not need any products otherwise sunglasses are a cheap option.

There are over the counter creams such as Stridex carried at Ulta 3 cosmetics, that work wonders for making strech marks dissapear. Also try palmers coco butter.

    Cosmetic Brushes Marking ?

    Carry on.

please this is sooooooooo GROSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Selling Cosmetics-Avon,Mark, etc?

I'm in college looking for a flexible job because of my class hours. So I've always thought about selling cosmetics, but I'm not sure what to sell. I've seen Avon and Mark, and then Mary Kay and that's about it. I'm thinking about trying Mark but I'm not sure. I like Avon but I know too many people who already sell it so I sort of want something else.Selling Cosmetics-Avon,Mark, etc?
When you join Avon it is your business so you do what you choose to do with it as you please. When you sign up as an Avon rep, your also allowed to sell Mark also. So what you could do is try to sell both and see which one works better for you.

Personally for me it has been worth while. I am able to make $250 every 2 weeks in addition to my full time income.

Not sure if you are aware but now you can sign up to become a representative online now. Plus, with all the support that is available out there you should be able to make a great income.

If you do happen to be interested and are ready to get started just click my profile for online application website information.

Hope that helped answer your questionSelling Cosmetics-Avon,Mark, etc?
Hello, I used to sell Avon, but have been selling Mary Kay for 4 years. Avon sounds appealing because of the low start up cost (only $10), but you don't really get much more than some brochures and samples, and a ';good luck';, then you're out on your own.

Mary Kay costs $100 for the starter kit, but you get $323 in full size products PLUS $200 in business supplies (bags, samples, business cards, training material, etc.) - so that $100 is getting you $500 worth of products. Mary Kay also has great training available online and in person which is something that Avon didn't have.

With Avon, your profit is based on how much you sell - so if you only sell $100 in products, your profit may only be 20%. In order to make any money at Avon, you must sell around $1200 per campaign (every 2 weeks). Mary Kay consultants receive 50% profit ALWAYS regardless of how much you sell. If you sell $250 in products one week - you profit $125, likewise, if you only sell $100 in products, you make $50. If you sell $20 - you make $10.

Another thing that I like much better with Mary Kay is that their catalogs only come out 4x per year - so it's easy to keep the most current brochure on hand. Avon changes their catalogs every 2 weeks - I remember feeling like I could never keep up with the most current issue.

I would be happy to give you more info on selling Mary Kay if you are interested. You can e-mail me through my avatar. Good luck with whatever you choose! :)
My husband got his dental degree and worked at nights at a local grocery stocking shelves.

I worked at a bagel shop on weekends and made coffee and bagels all day. During the weekdays, I was a nanny/housekeeper/helper for a disabled mom. I watched her child while she was home, light house keeping, and ran to the store for groceries and did the rest of her errands.
