M.A.C has been making colors for dark skin tones long before any other companies would. they have an even broader collection now. support the original and get M.A.C.
M.A.C they have every single colour of skin tone.. and the makeup is beautiful and wont cause break outs. They have so many colours of everything, like lipstick and eyeshadow and especially blush, so many to choose from! They r the best!!

Bare minerals. I use this, but I am not black. It comes in many skin tones though, It is by far the best makeup I have ever used.
For foundations and concealers, the lines that I feel have quality products *and* good colors for darker skin shades are MAC and Becca. Lines like Iman might be good but I haven't used their products to vouch for quality.
If you can't find a good match at cosmetic counters or at the drugstore, you might want to consider pro lines like Cinema Secrets or Graftobian, both of which are *excellent* in quality, both offer great coverage, both cost less than department store foundations (a PLUS!) and most importantly work with different undertones. I love both lines and feel their quality is equal to or superior to what you'd find in department stores. I've supplied links to both lines for you to check their color ranges.
If you want to know what lines are good for color (blush, eye shadows) then I'd say MAC is a really good choice.

It is definitely more expensive at the airport, and the quality is probably exactly the same as the quality you find at the mall. (After all, they are the same brands and products.).
So why do people buy from airport vendors? The reason is because they are Duty free that way. What that means is that if you are an international traveler, you have restrictions put on you of how much stuff you can take back with you into your home country from an outside country. I love it. It really plumps the lips. I'd estimate that it makes them a good 15% larger. As far as long term results, I doubt that is true. It does irritate the area to which it is applied, which is how it works. Also, it is not sticky.

I have witnessed this operation. GA is a good idea. I cannot imagine having any other option. Usually, an injection to relax you will be given first and then you should remember nothing about it. One night in hospital should be enough but you will require fairly strong analgesia for 24 hours post-op. I would ask your surgeon for GA definitely unless there is some strong contraindication in which case you probably shouldn't have the op anyway. With a 4 hour operation involving lipo and manual realignment of skin folds plus extras I do not think I personaly would want to be alert and able to watch the carnage. If you have ever seen these procedures they are not pretty. Although you would probably be sedated with Diazepam or Ativan, you will still be alert to watch the docs fill bags with your bloody tissues. Anxiety might still creep in in leiu of the anti anxiety meds given.
I would opt for GA for these procedures. You'll go to sleep and then wake up slimmer and tighter, and a little sore but withought mental trauma you would likely receive from watching the crew carve you up.
GA is very safe. The Anesthesiologist constantly monitors your flow to make sure you stay in the correct range. I think of local as an outpatient only tool. If I am getting sliced open and it it serious enough to keep me in hospital for a period of time I always go GA.

They might claim they do not contain any ';carcinogenic'; sulphates, parabens, etc BUT how sure are we that the natural herbs/extracts themselves are not just as bad???

Yes, sometimes alternative ingredients can cause side effects just as chemical ones do (although we must remember that even so called ';non-organic'; stuff has to come from a natural product at some point). However, not all ';organic'; cosmetics are safe and may contain baddies such as Parabens and Titanium Dioxide (these are just two ingredients I know of contained in most non-organic and a many organic cosmetics that may cause serious health problems over a period of time).
we humans are made from the earth. our bodies contain things readily found in nature...in plants, other animals, the earth itself.
all things that come in contact with your tissues (skin, eyes, hair, nails, lips..ect) are somewhat absorbed by your skin. for example, lotions are an obvious one. not so obviously, things like toothpaste chemicals such as fluoride can be found in your bloodstream after being absorbed into your mucous membranes of you mouth.
your body doesnt know how to breakdown foreign chemicals that arent organically made and so these things are stored in your tissues (muscles, organs) and cause toxicity and can possibly (depending on the type of chemical...) cause cancer, growths, abnomalities of your tissues.
some ';natural'; ingredients can also be detrimental to your body. generally your bodies are much better at breaking ';natural'; or oganic compounds down, therefore they can exit the body and not build up to cause the damage that it may cause in large quantities.
unfortunatly most research on these topics is very bias by one side or the other, so many things you read may not be true at all.
so when it comes down to it, it is your call.
also: think about what happens to the cosmetics after you have them... most natural cosmetics are much more bio-degradeable than the ';regular'; counterparts. the companies that make the natural cosmetics are more likely to be committed to the earth (packaging, inks, production) than those that sell regular cosmetics.
You must be very careful about claims of organic and natural - neither are necessarily safe. Eg you can get nettles which have no pesticides sprayed on them, but they are not safe. Snake venom is natural but obviously not safe.
I have a number of articles you are welcome to read to see just how bad chemicals used in the cosmetic industry really are. Quite horrifying really! I was under the impression that if things were sold to the community at large then they must be safe - how wrong I was. Absolutely disgusting.

all things that come in contact with your tissues (skin, eyes, hair, nails, lips..ect) are somewhat absorbed by your skin. for example, lotions are an obvious one. not so obviously, things like toothpaste chemicals such as fluoride can be found in your bloodstream after being absorbed into your mucous membranes of you mouth.
your body doesnt know how to breakdown foreign chemicals that arent organically made and so these things are stored in your tissues (muscles, organs) and cause toxicity and can possibly (depending on the type of chemical...) cause cancer, growths, abnomalities of your tissues.
some ';natural'; ingredients can also be detrimental to your body. generally your bodies are much better at breaking ';natural'; or oganic compounds down, therefore they can exit the body and not build up to cause the damage that it may cause in large quantities.
unfortunatly most research on these topics is very bias by one side or the other, so many things you read may not be true at all.
so when it comes down to it, it is your call.
also: think about what happens to the cosmetics after you have them... most natural cosmetics are much more bio-degradeable than the ';regular'; counterparts. the companies that make the natural cosmetics are more likely to be committed to the earth (packaging, inks, production) than those that sell regular cosmetics.
You must be very careful about claims of organic and natural - neither are necessarily safe. Eg you can get nettles which have no pesticides sprayed on them, but they are not safe. Snake venom is natural but obviously not safe.
I have a number of articles you are welcome to read to see just how bad chemicals used in the cosmetic industry really are. Quite horrifying really! I was under the impression that if things were sold to the community at large then they must be safe - how wrong I was. Absolutely disgusting.

If you have a Target store near you, and don't want to pay for shipping by buying it online, go to the store and buy it there. Some of the items seem a bit small compared to what you're used to, but remember, it's only a buck! I'm quite pleased with my purchases so far especially considering the entire price of my purchase...for $14 I got (1) black mascara, (1) clear mascara, (2) lip bams, (1) lip stick, (2) make-up brushes (great quality brushes, btw!), (1) cover-stick and (1) eyeliner with sharpener and I got it all shipped to my house in 3 days! I saw a brief spiff on one of the fashion channels, it's made by a guy that saw how much his wife was spending on cosmetics so he made his own that is more affordable. The E.L.F. stands for Eyes, Lips, Face... I haven't tried them yet so I don't have any reviews to share but if they're as affordable as they said on TV it's not too much of an investment to experiment.

Is it safe to have two separate cosmetic surgery procedures within a week?
Hi my friend is travelling to Europe in a few weeks to get Rhinoplasty and a breast enlargement. She says that the company refuse to do both on under the same anaesthetic and therefore has had to book in for two procedures in a week. I am worried that this isn't safe as she is going to have to undergo general anaesthetic twice in such a short space of time. I'm worried she is going to put herself in danger by doing this. I can't seem to find any other info about this on the net, however, I am aware of people getting two lots of surgery under the same anaesthetic. For lipo, you should first achieve your goal weight through diet and excerise. Then, if you have excess SKIN, lipo can help. But just lipo without any muscle or toning will not make you look good.
I have had a lot of procedures, although not lipo. It is very safe IF you go to a good surgeon who you have carefully researched. But every surgery has risks and the rewards must outweigh the risks. Although I am happy overall with my results, not everything I have done has turned out ';perfect.';
It doesn't sound like you are in a position to rush out and get surgery. Take your time, lose some weight naturally, research doctors and their different methods, before jumping into everything. A good surgeon will tell you to lose the weight first and come back when you have. You should also know some doctors won't do all the cosmetic surgery all at one time. So you would have to heal and go back in for the next procedure.
I would like to have liposuction on my thighs,sides,butt, back and neck. I also want a boob job,a tummy tuck(which is very invasive I have seen it done to many times). I would also like some work on my face. Like lasers,chemical peel something to bring out that youthful looking glow.
I have wanted this for about 10 years and my boyfriends thinks I am crazy. I would have done some cosmetic surgery if I had the money to do so.
If you have that amount of fat it is because you have allowed yourself to get that way and plastic surgery will not be a permanent solution. You have to eat right and exercise, even after surgery. If you do not it will all come back again and probably more.
Most plastic surgery is safe enough, but you need to get an excellent surgeon so do thorough research .

I had a dispute with a military doctor against whom I reported. After that he became vindictive towards me and subsequently i was asked to get a clearance from a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist declared me medically fit for the procedure. Now since getting surgery from the same surgeon is out of question I approached one of his collegues in the same hospital,who seems to be very half hearted about it and says things like-'you won't be satisfied with the results'. It is a rhinoplasty. Sometimes he says that I don't need it, which is offcourse bullshit since his collegue only recommended it. I have a DNS as well as a bulbous tip. Now after dithering and procastinating for an year, after I approached him this other surgeonhas agreed to perform it. But still keeps muttering things like i told you you don't need it and all. Now will this attitude of his work in my favor (keeping his objectivity intact ) or against me (making him biased).He'll be doing it for free. I would go consult another doctor. This is not to say that this doctor isn't right. He probably is. You sound like you want the proceedure and are going to get it no matter what. But I would want to know what another doctor says about the proceedure and whether you really need it. If you do, the question is whether to have it from the half-hearted doctor. I don't know if I would want to get it from a doctor who was half-hearted about it. On the other hand, just because he thinks you don't need it, doesn't mean he won't do the best job he can. But maybe another doctor has another way of doing it that the half-hearted doctor doesn't know about.

Four months ago I had surgery to remove a brown spot from the white of my eye, as it had grown over the years and became much darker. However my eye is now red, and i'm not sure the redness will ever fade. If this is indeed a scar, i'd consider undergoing cosmetic eye whitening. My mother is planning on travelling to Thailand to have cosmetic surgery on her nose and a minor face lift, I would prefer she just leave herself to age naturally but its her desicion. There are several international standard hospitals in Thailand - I would recommend one of these as any operation will carry a degree of risk especially if you were to have an operation in England. If she would prefer somewhere a lttle less frantic than Bangkok she could try the AEK Hospital in Udon Thani - I only know the dental clinic there as I was renting one of their apartments for a month for a holiday.I had some emergency dental work done ( on a Sunday ) I guess the high number of ladyboys in the country means the surgeons have plenty of experience !!My mother wants to have cosmetic surgery in Thailand... As I myself have not had any surgery of this type I am reluctant (though I will mention a few who are known to me though i cant say how good they are) to refer to anyone however your embassy should be able to help. Last time i looked for someone Google came up with plenty of good ones.
Chulalongkorn university would have some good leads and has some of the greatest medical minds in the country. (Tammaset and Khon Kaen university have v.good medical facultys to if it comes to checking credentials) Burmigrad hospital is one of the better hi-so hospitals in BKK. (there are lots though)
I would personally be looking though for a surgeon who has been trained in the US, CAN, AUS, Europe,NZ, Japan though and be checking credentials as well as contacting satisfied customers. I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients, as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.

As a doctor I personally believe that your Tummy tuck, Liposuction surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of Healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

It is not safe at all. That is how people get really sick from botched surgeries and they usually come back with the surgery messed up and have to pay more to get it fixed in the us. It is not worth it at all.

I always watch those scary programmes on TV which show surgery cases gone completely wrong and the people are scarred for the rest of their lives. This has always made me reluctant to get surgery.
I want to get surgery to give my face sharper and more masculine features. I want to bring out my jaw bones and to give myself a sharper chin. Although I don't wanna end up like Freddi Krooger if the whole thing goes wrong. LOL

It depends. All surgery comes with risks, but generally plastic surgery isn't as risky or dangerous as say, open heart surgery. However, all plastic surgeries are not the same and they each carry certain levels of risk. For example, a nose job is not as dangerous as a tummy tuck.

The amount of risk will vary based on what procedures you choose to under go and who preforms the surgery . You obviously want to choose a surgeon in your area with a proven track record. Ask your primary care dr, or family care physician to recommend one to you then you can set up an appointment with the actual surgeon and ask him or her about all of the concerns you have and get more info on how it all works.

I went under the knife so to speak in Feb and it was great,I took the time to find a surgeon who I felt would do what I required from him, I spent a good 6 months researching whether to go abroad where it was considerable cheaper than here but in the end had it done 10 miles from where I lived as felt this would be safer. I had a tummy tuck where this is relatively safe I did have problems with the draining after the operation. fortunately as I went with bupa it was all included in the cost when I should have been in for 4 nights ended up staying in for 9 I had my own private room and bathroom with all mod cons and a cleaner. I had to return one a week for a month to be drained off where the fluid collected in the tummy (it sounds worse that it was) it was just a needle put in and gently syringed away.
the pain was just like having a very bad period but I am really happy with the results.
l would recommend my surgeon with bells on

(ANS) I come from a medical family (both my parents worked for many years in the N.H.S) and I worked in a well known major teaching hospital here in Leeds. I have seen many people who have had both plastic and cosmetic surgery for cases such as facial tumors i.e. cancer's etc.
**I cannot say there are No! risks at all to cosmetic or plastic surgery because that's clearly untrue. However, I have to say in all the six years I worked next door to the operating theaters in the ITU I never saw a case go badly wrong.
**I think if you're prepared to pay good money %26amp; realistically probably quite a high fee too. For the skill of an experienced maxio-facial surgeon then the end result is probably likely to be pretty good or extremely good.
However, if you not prepared to pay for a senior %26amp; highly skilled surgeon then I think the risks are much higher and the out come of the surgery less assured. In other words you get what you pay for.
**So as far as my experience of seeing plastic surgery patients post operatively this type of surgery IS quite safe in general terms.

For as far that I had news/info from VIP customers, the cosmetic surgery is excellent over here. All depending where and done by serious clinics.

Thailand is going for boutique hospital and dental services in a big way these days. It IS as cheap as they say it is, so get it while it's hot. Having said this, I have to add that Thai laws lag far behind most of the 1st world as far as consumer protection goes, but the proportion of people receiving sub standard care to those that get it done right makes the risk element very slight indeed. It's easy to shop around here (I'm living in Thailand) and private medical/dental is superb. Go for it.

You should really just diet and excercize. You may be wasting 30 grand on a fraud surgeon!
