Are cosmetics safe to use?

well am doing a case study in science about make-up and if its safe. anyone had any problems with make up or know any dangers (mainy eye + lip products)

For the most part yes Make-up is safe. Now you are supposed to change your make up about every 3 months or any time you are really sick and you have been using your eye and lip products. This is for sanitary reasons. The longer you keep your make-up the longer germs have time to sit. One time I used some old eye liner and I got a really bad eye infection in both eyes! It was horrible. My eyes were blood shot red and I had to go to the doctor and get eye drops and all for using old eye liner. But otherwise there are no dangers in using eye or lip or any other kind of make-up! :) hope this helps.
make up is healthy if you use right and qualified materials. first you should select the products which don't irritate your skin, esp. eyes! the second one is the quality of make up products. you should be sure that they are tested dermatologically. many includes lead, can you imagine lipsticks including lead??? they may cause fatal problems. so women should buy -generally- expensive make up materials (because they are healtier) instead of having ten cheap-bad lipsticks, buy just two but safer ones
