How Safe Are Cosmetic Surgeries?

Cosmetic surgeries have increased about 60 percent from 2002 to 2007. Unfortunately, not all those procedures ended happily. There are no reliable statistics on the number of botched cosmetic surgeries, but it is a serious issue. Everyone needs to make a careful choice about whom to choose to have the procedure done with. You can end up with

infection, misshapen facial features or unsightly scars if the surgeon isn't experienced and skilled enough. Cosmetic surgeries gone awry and wrongful deaths prove that the choice for undergoing facial cosmetic surgery for example, should be taken seriously. Nonetheless, the number of procedures done each year is increasing.

Many of the most popular surgeries, such s tummy tucks and breast augmentation, leave scars. How pronounced they are depends on the way the surgery is performed, how sutures are put in, and the patient's own healing process. For people of color, every cosmetic surgery must be done with an awareness of the risks of scarring and using techniques to eliminate or reduce potential problems. The surgeon has to be more careful about using techniques that minimize the size of scars, and that hide or camouflage the scars that are going to appear. Doctors also need to treat the scar more aggressively afterward. How Safe Are Cosmetic Surgeries?
Cosmetic surgery is as safe as any other surgical procedure. You run the risk of death from anesthesia, infection, internal bleeding, allergic reactions, etc. The only surgery anyone should have done is medically necessary surgery just because the risks are too high to ';look good';. Would you seriously risk your life by getting liposuction or a nose job?How Safe Are Cosmetic Surgeries?
It depends on the procedure. Liposuction from the abdomen, for example, is riskier than removing a small bump or imperfection from the nose or forehead. If you will be unconscious during the procedure then I think it's very risky.
There are risks with any sort of surgery. Just don't EVER go out of the country to have comsmetic surgery no matter what the price is.
