Is M.A.C. cosmetics's ';Tan'; pigment safe to use in the eye area?

I know some Pigments from M.A.C. Cosmetics are not safe to use in the eye area, b/c they could cause blindness and corneal damage if got into the eye. I recently purchased a jar of TAN pigment...and I accidentally threw away the little insert!!! Does anyone know if TAN is safe to use in the eye area/as eyeshadow?
